• Recruiting Update

Sojourn Shelton: Shelton was the Seminoles first 2013 commitment, and after committing to his “dream school,” he appeared to be a lock. Now, Shelton is enduring second thoughts with Terrell Buckley leaving the program to coach cornerbacks at Akron, and Mark Stoops potentially leaving after the 2013 season. Shelton is still committed, but his recruitment is far from over, and the Seminoles will not have the luxury of hosting Shelton for the April 14th spring game.

Deadrin Senat: Senat was a very nice pick up for the Seminoles, and has had fans excited about the nice addition to an already loaded tackle group. Since his commitment, the Hurricanes have certainly put their foot in the door, and have Senat thinking twice.

Maquedius Bain: Things continue to turn in favor of Miami, and the Hurricanes will have a huge opportunity as Bain will attend their spring game, as opposed to the Seminoles. With Bain living so close to the Miami campus, the home town team will have the opportunity to pull the switch.

GeorgeWilliams: Williams in my opinion has been one of the most overlooked prospects in the state. Williams brings tremendous athleticism to the linebacker position, and plays with a mean streak. Williams showcased his abilities during the Bradenton 7 on 7 tournament by making one handed grabs, and being a terror in coverage for offenses. Florida State has quickly become one of Williams’s top schools, and the Seminoles could find themselves with a big time steal.

Artie Burns: The former Alabama commitment is one of the hottest prospects in the Southeast, and has the ‘Noles very high on his radar. Florida State is looking to bring in at least two very talented corners this year, and Burns could round out that group, if Shelton stays committed
